I wanted to create a series of tumblers in a camo pattern with a theme-and-variation approach. I found some cheap used ones on eBay and sandblasted the coating off. The coating was tougher than I expected, but my mineral wool in the sandblast cabinet did the trick with some persistence.
I then began layering coats with my camo prints, giving each tumbler a different metallic color. The final product consisted of five colors—probably one too many, as I started getting noticeable edges.
