Sandblasting parts to get them ready for off-gassing. Off-gassing is important because used parts can trap gases, which may be released during baking.
The polymer on this rifle was relatively soft and absorbed a significant amount of coating. A standard 15-minute flash cure was not enough to make it tack-free. I noticed the base layer remained tacky and picked up dirt easily, so I made sure to wear gloves. For the next two layers, I increased the flash cure time and baked it for 20 minutes.
