Project Details

This project was a custom Cerakote job on a Glock 43, and it turned out to be a real statement piece. I designed a double fade camo finish I call “Coral Camo”—a pattern I personally drew and developed stencils for, making this one-of-a-kind.

Custom AR-15 Cerakote: A Multicam Masterpiece

Cerakoting a Glock 43 is a whole different animal when you’re doing it for the first time—especially when you’re pushing color boundaries. For this project, I created a custom “Coral Camo” finish using a crocodile-to-Multicam dark green base, layered with a mud brown fade and topped with flat dark earth and midnight bronze accents. The barrel was done in a C-series glacier gold.

The lower grip was laid down in a smooth, flat dark earth tone for a clean, tactical foundation. The mag clip? Midnight bronze—just enough contrast to give it some quiet attitude. The slide was fully coated in the base color before I carefully taped off the lower section to protect the mechanics.

Here’s where the learning curve hit: it was my first time coating a slide. I now k

now to tape off key contact points like the barrel seat at the front of the slide and to avoid coating the interior altogether. The barrel was a tight fit during reassembly, and the slide was getting hung up when cocked. A bit of sanding got things operational, but next time I’ll approach it with more precision.
